With the development of society, especially the change of modern lifestyle, obesity and overweight are becoming more and more common and serious in China. In 2005, the number of overweight and obese people among Chinese residents has reached nearly 300 million. Obesity is a chronic disease caused by a variety of factors, characterized by an increase in the volume and number of fat cells in the body, an abnormal increase in the percentage of body fat to body weight, and excessive deposition of fat in some locations. Obesity is also an important risk factor for the development of some respiratory diseases and cancers. As early as 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) included obesity in the list of disease classifications. In 2000, the WHO listed smoking, obesity and AIDS as the top three killers of humanity.
