On October 19, 2024, the 8th editorial board meeting of Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery was successfully held in Tongzhou Campus of Beijing Anzhen Hospital. Jiang Yongmao, deputy secretary-general of Chinese Medical Association, Wei Junmin, president and editor-in-chief of Chinese Medical Association Magazine, and Wang Jing, editor and reviewer of Medical Journal Management Department of Chinese Medical Association, attended the meeting for guidance. Liu Yinglong and Zhang Xi, consultants of Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, He Jie and Sun Lizhong, honorary editors-in-chief, Zhang Hongjia, editor-in-chief, Dong Nianguo, Gao Shugeng, He Jianxing, Jiang Gening, Liu Lunxu, Wang Chunsheng, Wang Jun, Zheng Zhe and Zhuang Jian, deputy editors-in-chief, and more than 100 members of the editorial board attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Wenjian, director of the editorial department of Chinese Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.
