On October 22, 2021, the Medical Historical Materials Collection and Research Center of the School of Medical Humanities of Peking University held an academic seminar on the topic of "Research on Historical and Cultural Communication and Communication Innovation Based on Beijing Medical Museum". The activity was hosted by Zhen Cheng, professor of School of Medical Humanities of Peking University and director of Medical Historical Materials Collection and Research Center, and guided by Zhu Youwen, researcher of Beijing Science and Technology Museum, Long Xiaofei, researcher of Capital Museum, Song Xiangguang, professor of School of Archaeology and Culture of Peking University, Zhang Daqing, professor of School of Medical Humanities of Peking University, and Zheng Hong, executive deputy director of Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum. The activity is composed of online and offline methods, with the participation of teachers and students from multiple research units and universities.

On October 15, 2020, in order to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Li Tao, one of the founders of medical history in China, the Medical Historical Materials Collection and Research Center of the School of Medical Humanities of Peking University held a commemorative activity of "Medical Historian Li Tao and the Special Collection of Peking Union Medical College Library". The event was hosted by Zhen Cheng, professor of School of Medical Humanities and director of Medical Historical Materials Collection and Research Center, and Wang Zongxin, research librarian of Peking Union Medical College Library, was specially invited to give a lecture.
