Historical pharmaceutical geography is an academic research to explore the distribution and change of medicinal materials in historical periods, especially authentic medicinal materials, the characteristics and rules of distribution change, and the future distribution change trend. It is a new academic field to study traditional Chinese medicine resources with the theoretical methods of historical geography, which belongs to cross-research. At present, when the country vigorously develops interdisciplinary subjects and attaches great importance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine resources, historical pharmaceutical geography has both important academic value and special significance of the times. Study on the Distribution and Change of Medicinal Materials in Wuling Mountain Area in Historical Period (618-1840) is a masterpiece of historical pharmaceutical geography[1]。 The author of the book is Hu Anhui, a PhD in historical geography from Southwest University, and is currently a professor at Guizhou Normal University. The book is about 230,000 words and was published by Xiamen University Press in September 2020.
