Chinese Medical Journal, founded in 1915, is the first Chinese medical journal founded by the Chinese Medical Association, and Wu Liande is the first editor-in-chief. Although "Chinese Medical Journal" is a comprehensive medical journal focusing on clinical medicine, before the founding of "Chinese Medical History Journal" in 1947, it also published medical history papers. Especially after the establishment of the Medical History Branch in 1936, it also published "Medical History Special Issues" several times, with a total of 4 Chinese editions: 1936 (22 volumes and 11 issues), 1939 (25 volumes and 11 issues), 1941 (27 volumes and 11 issues), and 1943 (29 volumes and 6 issues). "Special Medical History" column, a total of 3 Chinese editions: 1936 (22 volumes and 12 issues), 1939 (25 volumes and 12 issues), and 1941 (27 volumes and 12 issues). In addition, the fifth and sixth issues of Chinese Medical Journal in 1945 (32 volumes) were jointly published, and there were six articles on medical history published in the column of "Medical History Special"; In 1937 (23 volumes, 5 issues), it was published in the "Special Issue of the Fourth Congress of Chinese Medical Association", which contained 8 articles of the "Medical History Group". There are two special issues in English edition: 1940 (58 volumes, 3 issues) and 1947 (65 volumes, 1 issue). The rest of the issues have related articles published in columns on medical history.
Since the late 19th century, biomedicine has made great progress, and with its unparalleled "power", it has become an important content in the writing of modern medical history. "The great physician" and "the science of medicine" are two of the most intertwined themes. By celebrating the brilliant achievements of physicians, historians achieve the dual purpose of honoring pioneers and educating the younger generations of physicians. However, this kind of Whig history with moral enlightenment color was strongly criticized by Western historiography in the second half of the 20th century. Scholars believe that the glorious image of biomedicine is achieved at the expense of the voices of two groups: on the one hand, during the whole diagnosis and treatment process, patients are aphasic at the hands of doctors with absolute authority; On the other hand, nurtured in the context of imperial expansion, the so-called modern medicine inevitably played a disgraceful role in maintaining colonial rule. In this way, the heroism in the narrative of medical history has been dissolved to a considerable extent. However, this still emphasizes the strong position of biomedicine, and implies "Eurocentrism" that ignores local terroirs. Therefore, how to overcome the "bias" of this research and examine the plural form of medicine including local medical tradition more fairly is a hot issue in the field of medical history recently.
"An Examination of Medical Books Before the Song Dynasty" is a reference book for the catalogue of medical books written by Okanishi, Japan. It contains 1 873 kinds of medical books before the Song Dynasty and makes textual research. Recorded in the book, "Yin Jingzhou Essential Fang" was written by Yin Zhongkan in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, and it was lost. Yin Zhongkan, literature and historical materials have written "Shang Zhongkan", and some are suspected to be "Yin Yuan". There is a note in "An Examination of Medical Books Before the Song Dynasty" that says: "According to Ke's photocopy of Tao Hongjing's Preface of Daguan Materia Medica, 'Yin Zhongkan' is written as 'Shang Zhongkan', while Dunhuang's Preface is written as 'Yin Yuanyuan'. 'Yin' is written as 'Shang', which avoids the taboo of Song Taizu. See the article of 'Zan Yin's Chan Jing'. Origin is the word Zhongkan."[
