On November 16, 2019, the garden city of Zhuhai was still in the golden autumn season, and the fragrance of osmanthus was floating. The 20th National Symposium on Pharmaceutical History and Materia Medica, the 4th Academic Annual Meeting of Lingnan Chinese Herbal Medicine Resources Committee of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association and the 7th Academic Annual Meeting of Pharmaceutical History Committee of Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association were grandly held in the auditorium on the 3rd floor of Zhuhai Livzon Group. Experts and scholars from all over the country gathered to discuss Materia Medica academics (Figure 1)。

On November 4, 2019, the International Forum on the History of Artefact Medicine of Peking University was successfully held. The forum was co-sponsored by the Medical History Research Center of Peking University, the Department of Science, Technology and Medical History of Peking University, and the School of Medical Humanities of Peking University. With medical artifacts as the core and historical research as the main method, it explored the old medical events hidden behind matters, and deeply discussed the future research paths and trends of medical history of artifacts, setting up a multi-disciplinary and multi-field cross-cooperation platform for medical history researchers.
