"Hongzhi Wenzhou Prefecture Chronicles" records that in the Wuwu year of Yanyou in the Yuan Dynasty (1318), under the initiative of Zhao Fengyi, the prefect of Wenzhou, a government-run medical education school was set up in the north of the Huimin Bureau in the urban area. This school should be the earliest government-run medical institution recorded in Wenzhou historical materials. When the school was completed, Zhao Fengyi, the prefect, wrote a "Medical Record" to encourage and encourage teachers and students. The full text of "Medical Notes" is as follows:

Professor Shang Zhijun is a famous contemporary Chinese herbalist, who has devoted his life to the study of herbal literature. In 2018, the 100th anniversary of Shang Zhijun's birth coincided with the publication of Shang Zhijun's Complete Collection of Materia Medica Literature (Series I). In order to carry forward Shang Zhijun's diligent and rigorous scholarship spirit and remember Shang Zhijun's outstanding achievements in the field of materia medica, on December 10, 2018, the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences held a grand academic conference to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mr. Shang Zhijun's birth and the launch ceremony of Shang Zhijun's Complete Collection of Materia Medica Literature (Series I) (Figure 1)。 The conference was sponsored by the Professional Committee of Pharmacy History of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association, the Institute of Chinese Medical History Literature of Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and co-organized by Beijing Science and Technology Press.
