On January 9, 2016, the International Forum on Traditional Medical Culture, sponsored by the Institute of Humanities, Kyoto University, Japan, jointly organized by the Medical History Research Department of the Institute of Oriental Medicine, Kitato University, and the Confucius Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hyogo Medical University, was held at the venue of the Medical History Research Department of the Institute of Oriental Medicine, Kitato University, Tokyo. A total of 85 scholars and Chinese representatives from all over Japan attended the venue, and the venue was packed.

According to Gu Jingxing's "Bai Mao Tang Ji" of Qing Dynasty, Li Shizhen was once "recommended to the court, awarded the sentence of Tai Hospital, and returned at the age of one" by the king of Chu. "Compendium of Materia Medica: Convolvulus" has a record of "Shi Zhen returning from the capital", which confirms that Li Shizhen did have this experience. Li Shizhen's experience in Beijing for one year (including his trip) has only been mentioned in previous articles. In order to get more systematic and comprehensive information, the key words were selected and searched in the Compendium of Materia Medica. The results were "Jingshi" 13 times, "Yanjing", 4 times, "Beiren" 108 times, and "Beitu" 37 times. Then investigate the frequency of each word appearing in Li Shizhen's self-description.

Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially since the late Qing Dynasties, Western learning spread to the east, which caused unprecedented great changes in ancient China. Among them, the import of Western modern medicine played a very unique and huge role. In the ninth year of Guangxu (1883), Boxi Hospital (the predecessor of the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University) founded by the American Supervisory Council became an important channel for Western learning to spread eastward in Suzhou at that time. Boxi Hospital-the spread of scientific knowledge of western medicine and the charm of scientific rescue of western medicine are quickly and deeply rooted in people's hearts. From famous Confucian officials, wealthy businessmen, to traffickers and pawns, there are suspicions at the beginning, and those who reject strictly at the end are rare. It can be seen from the diary of Li Chaoqiong, a county magistrate in the late Qing Dynasty.

"Lingnan Medical History" published by Guangdong Science and Technology Press from 2012 to 2014 has three volumes, the first, the middle and the second. It is a 1.25 million-word local medical history. From ancient times to the present, it has been completed in one go, and the whole article is full of strong regional and era characteristics. It comprehensively displays the history, achievements and characteristics of Lingnan medicine, and opens a new page for the in-depth study of Chinese medical history.

Hou Tiao Bian of Treatise on Febrile Diseases was compiled by Cheng Yingyan after Fang Youzhi's Treatise on Febrile Diseases, so it was called Hou Tiao Bian.
