Lu Chang, a medical scientist in the Song Dynasty, is known as Lu Shangyao. He is the author of "Medical Mirror" and "Typhoid Fever Tablets and Jade Collection". There is still no conclusion about Lu Chang's birth and death years. Although there is a lack of historical data, it is impossible to clarify the specific birth and death years of Lu Chang, but a general range can still be determined.

Recently, I learned that the commemorative collection of essays on the 100th anniversary of Ren Yingqiu's birth was about to be published, and I was invited to write an article in memory of Ren Lao. For the sake of the admiring teacher Ren, this is no objection. I met Mr. Ren more than 30 years ago. At that time, some of the materials in my collection were stored in my home in Yokohama, some distance from Ibaraki, where I live now, so it was inconvenient to find them. So I decided to write this article on the basis of a few photos brought by my wife from her home in Yokohama, and the contents of the book "Chronology of the History of Han Dynasty in Meiji 117" written by Mr. Yamagata Michiaki, and a slight addition of my memories from many years ago.

My father, Ren Yingqiu (1914-1984), was a native of Jiangjin, Sichuan Province. He read the Bible when he was young. When he was young, he asked Liao Jiping, a master of classical classics. At the age of 17, he respected his grandfather's order to study medicine with his teacher. At the age of 23, he studied at Shanghai Chinese Medical College. He taught at Chongqing School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1950 and worked at Beijing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1957. He is one of the entrepreneurs of traditional Chinese medicine in New China. He once served as the executive director of the Medical History Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Medical Science Committee of the Ministry of Health, the convener of the Chinese Medicine Professional Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council, a member of the Chinese Medicine Professional Group of the National Science and Technology Commission, the vice president of the All-China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a member of the Central Committee of the Peasants and Workers' Democratic Party. He is a famous Chinese medicine scientist and educator, and has won the honorary title of Beijing Model Worker.

On the morning of May 28th, 2015, the "Commemoration Meeting of Ren Yingqiu's Centennial Birth" sponsored by Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine was held in the lecture hall of the teaching building of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Mr. Ren Yingqiu is an outstanding Chinese medicine scientist and educator. By remembering and remembering his extraordinary life, the conference expressed his admiration for his personality and academic admiration, and inherited and carried forward his loyalty to the cause of Chinese medicine and the spirit of embracing all rivers and keeping pace with the times.
