Physical examination is a diagnosis and treatment behavior to detect disease clues and health hazards early. Abnormal physical examination results include clinical critical value, major diseases and their clues, acute and chronic lesions, and abnormal examination results that need dynamic observation, and post-examination management needs to be treated differently. Therefore, the Health Management Branch of Chinese Medical Association and the Editorial Committee of Chinese Journal of Health Management jointly organized relevant experts and scholars in the field of national health management (physical examination) to conduct repeated demonstrations, and carried out special research, consultation and demonstration on the scope and management of important abnormal results related to the prevention and treatment of major diseases found during physical examination, and formulated the Expert Consensus on the Management of Important Abnormal Results of Health Examination (Trial Edition) based on the Expert Consensus on Basic Items of Health Examination. The implementation of this consensus will help guide China's health management (physical examination) institutions to manage important abnormal results during and after examination, standardize the medical behavior of health management (physical examination) institutions and ensure the medical quality.
