Dear President Zhong, President Bai, distinguished guests at home and abroad, ladies and gentlemen, friends, I am very happy to attend the 5th China Health Industry Forum and the 23rd International Conference on Health Assessment and Promotion today. First of all, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, I would like to express my warm congratulations on the holding of the forum, and extend a warm welcome to friends from all over the world, domestic experts and people from all walks of life who came to attend the forum. I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to introduce to you the relevant situation of China's deepening medical and health system reform and the preparation of the "Healthy China 2020" strategic plan, hoping to enhance the understanding of all sectors of society about China's health reform and development.

First of all, on behalf of the Chinese Medical Association, allow me to extend my warm congratulations to the 5th China Health Industry Forum and the 23rd International Conference on Health Assessment and Promotion held today. At the same time, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to 13 brother societies and associations such as Chinese Association of Preventive Medicine and 10 enterprise organizations such as Jianyin International Holdings Co., Ltd. for their strong support! We would like to extend a warm welcome to the experts and people from all walks of life at home and abroad!

The 5th China Health Industry Forum, sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association and undertaken by the Health Management Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the Chinese Journal of Health Management, was held under the great situation that the whole country earnestly studied and implemented the spirit of the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, united the military and the people, and united as one to overcome the devastating earthquake disaster in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, successfully held the Olympic Games, and realized China's century-old dream. Focusing on the theme of this forum, I would like to put forward some views on the problems, opportunities, challenges and countermeasures faced by the development of China's health management and related industries for discussion.

The second working meeting of the first editorial committee of Chinese Journal of Health Management was successfully held in Beijing International Convention Center on October 30th, 2008. More than 40 editorial board members and 8 special editorial board members from all over the country attended the meeting. Bai Shuzhong, Vice President of Chinese Medical Association, You Suning, President and Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Medical Association Magazine, and Cai Lifeng, Vice President of Chinese Medical Association Magazine attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Wu Liuxin of the Air Force Aviation Medical Research Institute of the People's Liberation Army and Professor Huang Jianshi of Peking Union Medical College of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.

With the improvement of people's living standards, people gradually pay attention to their own physical condition, and it has become a habit among more and more people to have a physical examination every year. In order to explore the necessity of regular physical examination, remind subjects who may have serious health problems in the future, and suggest them to take scientific and effective prevention and treatment measures in time, the examination results of 92 750 subjects who underwent physical examination in Beijing Physical Examination Center in 2007 are analyzed as follows.

diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), which can lead to blindness in severe cases. In recent years, with the increase of the incidence of diabetes, the progress of treatment and the prolongation of the life of patients, the severity of diabetes has become increasingly obvious. It is of great significance to explore the related risk factors for the occurrence and development of DR. The results of 275 patients who attended the department of internal medicine, ophthalmology and physical examination centers of our hospital from December 2005 to December 2007 are summarized and analyzed and reported as follows.

Abdominal obesity refers to the special accumulation of adipose tissue in the abdomen, which is manifested by an increase in waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio. Abdominal obesity is on the rise in China, and it has become an increasingly common disease. People pay more and more attention to it. This article reviews the relationship between abdominal obesity and cardiovascular disease risk factors.

Malignant tumors are the leading cause of death in the world. In 2007, there were 11.3 million new malignant tumors and 7.9 million deaths worldwide, accounting for about 13% of the global deaths, of which about 72% of malignant tumor deaths occurred in low-and middle-income countries. The causes of death of malignant tumors in the world are lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer and prostate cancer in the order of men; Women are breast cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, and cervical cancer in order. If necessary action is not taken, there will be 15.5 million new cases of malignant tumors and 11.5 million deaths by 2030^[1]。

Deafness, also known as hearing impairment or hearing loss, among which hereditary deafness is one of the common genetic diseases in clinic. About 0.05% ~0.1% of newborns have congenital severe deafness^[1]Of which more than 50% are caused by genetic factors^[2]。 About 70% of all congenital deafness cases considered to be related to genetic factors were non-syndromic deafness, and no other clinical abnormalities were associated with deafness^[2,3]。 In addition, among a large number of patients with delayed hearing loss, many patients are caused by their own genetic defects, or due to genetic defects and polymorphisms, which cause increased susceptibility to environmental factors that cause deafness. Hereditary deafness not only affects the deaf patients themselves, but also can be passed on to future generations. The root cause of the disease is that the parents of deaf children pass on defective genes to the next generation.
