Interventional radiology has rapidly developed into an indispensable diagnostic and therapeutic method in modern medicine[1]However, because the interventional radiology diagnosis and treatment procedure requires a long time of exposure, the operator must be exposed to X-rays next to the consultation bed for a long time to operate near the table, resulting in relatively large radiation doses received by interventional radiology staff and patients. With the increasingly widespread indications, the staff and patients who undergo interventional radiology diagnosis and treatment become a group of people receiving higher radiation doses, which has attracted widespread attention from the international radiation protection community[2]。 In the monitoring project of medical radiation protection in medical institutions in Tai' an, interventional radiation diagnosis and treatment was taken as the key content, the basic situation of interventional radiation diagnosis and treatment equipment and its application in the whole city was investigated, and the application frequency and distribution of interventional radiology were obtained, which laid the foundation for further in-depth radiation protection of interventional radiology.
