"Huainanzi Yuan Dao Xun" says, "The shape of the husband is the surrender of life; Qi is the full of life; God is the system of life. One loss of position will hurt the three."［1］For the first time, he put forward the trinity view of shape, qi and spirit. Shape refers to the tangible structure of human body. Qi is the extremely subtle substance in human body with strong movement ability and maintenance of life process. God refers to the master of all physiological activities and psychological activities. The three are interdependent and coordinated to maintain human life activities together. "Su Wen Cough Theory" puts forward that "all internal organs make people cough"［2］75The view of life has a profound influence on the treatment of cough by acupuncture in later generations, which contains the academic thought of the integration of form, qi and spirit. A deep understanding of it from the perspective of form, qi and spirit will help to broaden the treatment ideas and improve the clinical efficacy.
