Stanford University School of Medicine, originally known as the "Pacific University School of Medicine," was founded by Elias Samuel Cooper in 1858. On November 9, 1882, the reconstruction was completed and renamed "Cooper Medical College" in honor of the founder. On July 1, 1912, Cooper School of Medicine was incorporated into Stanford University, formally establishing Stanford University School of Medicine[1]。 The early development of Stanford University School of Medicine was slow, and it did not begin to grow rapidly until around the 1950s, when some important scientists joined. According to the U.S. University Rankings (USNEWS Rankings) published by U.S. News and World Report every August, Stanford University School of Medicine has always been among the best, and such achievements are inseparable from the work of outstanding scientists.
