The eighth editorial board (editorial board) of Chinese Journal of Stomatology was established in October 2012, with a term of 4 years. It has successfully completed all the work during its term of office. In accordance with the requirements and related procedures of the General Rules of Editorial Boards of Chinese Medical Association Series Magazines, this journal has carried out the re-election of the editorial board, and a new editorial board has been formed. The first meeting of the 9th editorial board was held in Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of September 28th, 2016. The meeting was attended by the leaders of the Chinese Medical Association magazine, editorial board members and all staff of the editorial department from all over the country. The main contents of this meeting are briefly introduced below.

desmoplastic fibroma (DMPF) is a rare bone tumor, which is composed of mildly abnormal spindle cells and a large amount of collagen produced by them, and is locally invasive^[1]。 In 1958, Jaffe separated it from soft tissue desmoid fibroma and other central fibrous lesions and named it DMPF. DMPF originates from connective tissue and can involve any bone, but it is most likely to involve the mandible. The most common sites are the mandibular body, mandibular angle and mandibular ascending branch. 75% of the patients were under 30 years of age, and only 6% were over 50 years of age. There was no significant difference between men and women^[2]。 One case of mandibular DMPF was admitted to Guanghua School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University, and the report is as follows:

Cervical lymph node dissection is a common procedure for the treatment of malignant tumors of the head and neck. For oral and maxillofacial surgeons, familiarity with head and neck anatomy is the prerequisite for mastering cervical lymph node dissection. However, there are often certain differences in head and neck anatomy between different individuals. This paper reports a case of internal carotid artery misalignment during cervical lymph node dissection.

Professor Wang Jiade was born in Jiangxi in 1939 and graduated from the Department of Stomatology of the former Beijing Medical College in 1962. He is a famous stomatologist, an outstanding stomatological educator, a famous expert in dental endodontics in China, a subject leader of dental endodontics in China, the chairman of the expert committee on the development of test questions for the qualification examination of dental physicians in the National Medical Examination Center, the former standing committee member and consultant of the dental endodontics professional committee of Chinese Stomatological Association, an expert of the review group of Chinese Journal of Stomatology in Beijing, and the former director of the dental endodontics department and director of the teaching office of Peking University School of Stomatology. He died of illness at 5: 22 on July 16, 2016 in Beijing at the age of 76.
