neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is an autosomal dominant genetic disease caused by the mutation of NF2 gene on chromosome 22. It is manifested as a systemic multisystem lesion syndrome, mainly including neurological lesions, ophthalmic lesions and skin lesions[1]。 Among them, NF2-related multiple tumors of the nervous system are the most serious lesions and the main cause of death and disability. The disease is very complex, clinically incurable and sustainable. Multidisciplinary cooperation is required in treatment. After fully assessing the patient's overall state, tumor load, treatment benefits and treatment risks, an individualized treatment plan is formulated, and surgery, radiosurgery, drugs and neurological reconstruction are reasonably used to treat, so as to prolong the patient's survival, protect and maintain important neurological functions, and improve the patient's quality of life. Initiated by the Neurotumor Professional Committee of China Anti-Cancer Association, in conjunction with experts from neurosurgery, otolaryngology, dermatology, medical oncology, radiosurgery and imaging departments of many medical institutions across the country, the Chinese Expert Consensus on Multidisciplinary Collaborative Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies for Neurosystem Tumors of Type 2 Neurofibromatosis was jointly written, aiming at promoting the standardized diagnosis and treatment of NF2 and improving the treatment level of NF2.
