Through the efforts of health management colleagues for more than 10 years, the construction of health management discipline has achieved fruitful results. With the progress of the times, the development of science and technology and the continuous accumulation of evidence-based medicine, health management as a new discipline, its discipline connotation construction will face new construction and development needs. In this review "Starting a New Journey of Chinese Health Management Discipline Construction", Zeng Qiang emphasized that in the future, we should take "strengthening discipline construction", "upgrading teaching staff" and "deepening international cooperation" as three starting points, "developing suitable technologies", "strengthening teaching base construction" and "carrying out scientific research" as three supports, "building a high-level innovation platform", "building high-level leaders and teams and cultivating innovative top-notch talents" and "creating a new system and landmark achievements of Chinese health management discipline construction" as three tasks. Adhere to innovation-driven, realize the great prosperity and development of health management discipline, and make China's health management discipline change from a follower to a leader.

As an emerging discipline, health management will face new demands for its connotation construction with the progress of the times, the development of science and technology and the accumulation of evidence-based medicine. In particular, President Xi's important speech at the 2016 National Health and Hygiene Conference^[1]"Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline^[2]The issuance of a series of policy documents has put forward higher requirements for the construction of health management discipline and industry development. How to adapt to the new requirements of discipline construction and do well in the discipline construction of health management is an important subject that we need to consider seriously.

With the aging of China's population, osteoporosis in the elderly has become one of the chronic diseases that seriously affect the health of middle-aged and elderly people. At present, the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis in the elderly in China is not ideal. The implementation of standardized treatment of osteoporosis in the elderly is in line with China's national conditions and the characteristics of Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and it is also the wish of clinical osteoporosis in China for many years. It is of great significance to standardize and improve the clinical diagnosis and treatment level of osteoporosis in the elderly in China and ensure the health of middle-aged and elderly people in China.

With the rapid development of China's economy, people's living standard has greatly improved, and people's lifestyle has undergone great changes; At the same time, with the arrival of the aging society in China, the aging population is increasing, osteoporosis, obesity and fatty liver have become the three common chronic diseases that seriously threaten the health of our people^[1,2,3,4]。

Smoking is the second leading health risk factor for premature death and disability worldwide^[1]。 Smoking is the cause of one in 10 deaths worldwide, with more than 6.4 million tobacco-related deaths in 2015^[2]。 Tobacco use kills 1.4 million people each year in China, and if the current smoking rate remains the same, the number of tobacco-related deaths is expected to grow to more than 3 million per year by 2050^[3]。 The floating population is a special group emerging in the process of urbanization. In 2016, the floating population in China reached 245 million people^[4]。 In this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted among construction workers in Shandong Province in 2016 to understand the knowledge of smoking and tobacco hazards among construction workers, and to provide reference for targeted tobacco control health education and behavioral intervention.

Health management is the key content of medical reform and innovation in China in recent years. In recent years, Hubei Province has carried out the pilot work of health management, and the provincial pilot areas covered 7 states and cities. Through the pilot promotion and the whole system promotion, it has gained good social response, and at the same time, it has put forward an innovative development idea for the improvement of international public health theoretical system and practical ability^[1]。 After several years of exploration and practice, the health management system in Hubei Province has been basically established, and the personnel team has basically formed. However, the awareness of personnel proactive service and full service needs to be strengthened, and the scale and service effect of health service also need to be improved^[2,3,4]。 On-the-job training is a new way to improve the professional ability and service quality in recent years^[5,6,7]Through on-the-job training, professionals can be guided to systematically study and review the theories of related majors, and combine them with practice to cultivate comprehensive application ability, thus improving the comprehensive quality of personnel. In order to better promote the practical application effect of health management, Hubei Province hopes to test the practical effect of health management pilot work in Hubei Province through on-the-job training, and further improve the practical skills of health management team, so as to achieve the purpose of promoting the combination of prevention and treatment and enhancing the connotation and service effect of health management.

The road reaches far, and the sea encompasses all rivers. Sponsored by Chinese Medical Association and Health Management Branch of Chinese Medical Association, undertaken by Xiamen Medical Association and Fujian Medical Association Health Management Branch, and co-organized by China Health Promotion Foundation, Chinese Journal of Health Management, Xiamen Medical Association Health Management Branch and Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Xiamen University, the "12th China Health Service Industry Conference and the 10th National Health Management Academic Conference of Chinese Medical Association" was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province on October 12-14, 2018! Closely focusing on the theme of "Promoting Discipline Construction and Helping a Healthy China", more than 5,000 experts, scholars and practitioners engaged in health service industry and health management from all over the country gathered together to exchange scholarship, share experiences, make common plans for the development of health management, and write a new chapter of health management in China.
