As a specialized discipline and industry, health management has only emerged and gradually improved in western countries in the past 20~30 years. China is in its infancy in this respect, and its understanding of health management is still confusing. The narrow health management mode refers to a process of comprehensive management of health risk factors of individuals or groups. Its purpose is to achieve the maximum health effect with the smallest expenditure by mobilizing individual enthusiasm. The broad health management model is a concept that takes the whole medical service market as the object of investigation. This view mainly emphasizes the neutral position of third parties, similar to the functions of insurance institutions, to provide health management services by market-oriented means, at the same time from medical information services and preventive health care. From the professional perspective of medical treatment and health care, this service model provides medical and health care information to the service objects, makes up for information asymmetry, reasonably diverts the service objects to appropriate medical institutions for treatment, and even exercises the right of medical supervision on behalf of patients, so as to reduce a lot of induced demand and excessive consumption from medical suppliers.

More than 1,200 experts, scholars, technical service personnel, enterprises and marketing representatives engaged in health industry and health management generally believed that this forum exceeded previous ones in terms of scale, academic level, scope of representatives, and the degree of combination of theory and practice. I believe that this forum has practical and far-reaching significance for academically leading the rapid development of China's health industry and health management industry and promoting the construction of health management disciplines with Chinese characteristics.
