Expert Introduction: With the rapid development of China's economic level and the ageing of the population, the incidence and prevalence of malignant tumors are increasing year by year. For women, cervical cancer and endometrial cancer are two major gynecological malignant tumors that threaten their life and health. At present, there is a lack of effective clinical means to predict the efficacy and prognosis of gynecological malignant tumors. Clinical staging, as the most commonly used prediction tool at present, cannot provide an accurate and comprehensive prediction perspective. In order to solve the existing clinical problems, the team of Professor Dong Jiangning, Department of Imaging, West District, First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China, based on multi-parameter MRI morphology and functional imaging, combined with information such as radiomics and clinical prognostic factors, based on clinical problems, focused on the frontier, solved clinical problems with cutting-edge medical technology, and made positive progress in the diagnosis, efficacy evaluation and prognosis prediction of preoperative pelvic lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. Professor Ye Zhaoxiang said that for patients with cervical cancer and endometrial cancer, the presence of lymph node metastasis, the number and scope of lymph node metastasis are closely related to their staging, treatment plan and prognosis. At present, there is no precise biomarker for non-invasive preoperative assessment of lymph node status of cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. Lymph node biopsy, which is the gold standard, is not only invasive but also has limited materials, and cannot comprehensively assess the status of all pelvic lymph nodes. Therefore, Professor Dong Jiangning's team collected, analyzed and combined imaging quantitative parameters and radiomics parameters to find new ideas and methods for diagnosing pelvic lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. This innovative research made up for the shortcomings of clinical routine imaging examination and lymph node biopsy.
