During radiotherapy, due to the need of fixing the body position and marking the three-dimensional coordinates of the positioning center on the body surface, patients usually need to expose a certain part of their body for treatment, while linear accelerators have requirements for the temperature of the treatment room (generally about 25℃). Most tumor patients are old and weak, and their immunity is low. Under this temperature condition, they often feel cold. In severe cases, symptoms such as fever and cough affect the normal treatment. The easiest method is to cover the patient's body with dry cotton fabric such as a blanket or quilt. However, whether covering the body surface with dry cotton fabric affects the therapeutic dose has been rarely reported in the literature so far. In this paper, the feasibility of covering dry cotton fabric on the body surface during radiotherapy was discussed by measuring the effects of covering dry cotton fabric with different thicknesses on the absolute dose value and the real synthetic dose distribution in the field on solid water model and 3D intensity modulation verification matrix.
