The first class of lung cancer target area delineation was successfully held in Beijing Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital on December 15-16, 2017. This class was sponsored by Beijing Medical Association of Chinese Medical Association, Radiotherapy Branch of Beijing Anti-Cancer Association and Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital. Professor Zhu Guangying of Radiation Oncology Department of Sino-Japan Friendship Hospital served as the chairman of Radiotherapy Branch of Beijing Anti-Cancer Association and the deputy chairman of Cancer Radiotherapy Branch of Beijing Medical Association, and was the head of this class. Before the class, Professor Zhu Guangying delivered an opening speech on behalf of the organizer, introduced the basic situation of the lung cancer center, radiation oncology department and lung cancer specialist medical consortium of China-Japan Friendship Hospital, focused on the special status and important role of China-Japan Friendship Hospital as a general hospital in the multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment mode of lung cancer, warmly welcomed the teaching experts and participants, and pointed out that this class of lung cancer target area delineation aims to further standardize lung cancer radiotherapy and improve clinicians' practical skills.

On December 2-3, 2017, the first annual meeting of the New Progress in Radiotherapy and the Professional Committee of Tumor Radiobiology and Multimodal Diagnosis and Treatment, sponsored by the Chinese Society of Research Hospitals and the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, and hosted by the Radiotherapy Department of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital, was held in the 8th conference room of the Internal Medicine Building of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital. Professor Qu Baolin, administrative director of the Department of Radiotherapy of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital and chairman of the Professional Committee of Tumor Radiobiology and Multimodal Diagnosis and Treatment of the Chinese Society of Research Hospitals, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference. More than 200 experts and scholars from major radiotherapy units at home and abroad, including Academician Yu Jinming, President Wang Faqiang and Vice President Liu Xihua of Chinese Research Hospital Association, professors Yin Weibo, Yu Zihao, Shen Wenjiang and Wang Lianyuan, famous experts in the field of radiotherapy, Director of Radiotherapy Department of Cancer Hospital of Medical Academy, Li Yexiong, 7th Chairman of Radiation Oncology Branch of Chinese Medical Association, and Lang Jinyi, President of Sichuan Cancer Hospital, attended the conference.

The "2017 National Annual Conference on Hyperthermia and the Third Academic Symposium on Clinical Progress of Hyperthermia by the Hyperthermia Professional Committee of China-Japan Medical Science and Technology Exchange Association" were successfully held in Changsha from November 24 to 26, 2017. This grand event, chaired by Professor Xiao Shaowen of Peking University Cancer Hospital, attracted more than 300 experts and scholars in the field of hyperthermia from all over the country and colleagues engaged in tumor hyperthermia related majors. Focusing on the theme of "communication, cooperation, innovation and development", more than 40 domestic experts at the meeting explained the role and latest research progress of hyperthermia in tumor treatment from various angles such as thermobiology, precision hyperthermia, thermochemotherapy, gene thermoradiotherapy, peritoneal hyperthermia perfusion and hyperthermia combined with immunotherapy, and jointly presented a feast of hyperthermia academics for the participants with several Japanese experts such as Professor Takeo Hasegawa and Professor Ken Uno!
